Ingredients:

  • 2 New York strip, ribeye, or filet mignon steaks (about 1 to 1.5 inches thick)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or mix of thyme, rosemary, and oregano)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Platinum Grill Pan

    • Heat the grill pan over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes until hot.
  2. Season the Steaks

    • Pat steaks dry with a paper towel.
    • Brush each steak with olive oil.
    • Mix salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
    • Rub the seasoning mix evenly over both sides of the steaks.
  3. Grill the Steaks

    • Place steaks in the hot Platinum Grill Pan and press down lightly for good grill marks.
    • Cook for 4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust based on your preference.
  4. Add Garlic Butter for Extra Flavor

    • In the last minute of cooking, add butter and minced garlic to the pan.
    • Tilt the pan slightly and use a spoon to baste the steaks with the melted garlic butter.
  5. Check Doneness & Rest

    • Use a meat thermometer for accuracy:
      • Rare: 120-125°F
      • Medium-Rare: 130-135°F
      • Medium: 140-145°F
      • Well-Done: 160°F+
    • Remove from the pan and let the steaks rest for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Garnish & Serve

    • Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley over the steaks for extra flavor.
    • Serve with grilled asparagus, roasted potatoes, or a fresh salad.
