Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (or white wine)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the shrimp and asparagus:

    • Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and a little lemon zest.
    • Heat the Jumbo Gourmet Skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tbsp butter.
  2. Cook the asparagus:

    • Add the asparagus to the skillet and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
    • Remove the asparagus from the skillet and set it aside.
  3. Cook the shrimp:

    • In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add the garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  4. Combine and finish:

    • Add the asparagus back into the skillet with the shrimp. Pour in the chicken broth (or white wine), lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Stir everything together to combine and heat through for another 2 minutes.
  5. Serve:

    • Garnish with fresh parsley and additional lemon zest, if desired. Serve with rice, pasta, or crusty bread.
